Trying Contact Lenses
Trying contact lenses at D&A couldn't be easier. Book your contact lens assessment online now, or use our Store Finder to contact a branch near you directly. Our contact lens specialists will assess your suitability for contact lenses and teach you how to use them safely.
To make sure you get the best vision correction from your contact lenses, you'll need to have had recent eye examination. So if you haven't had an eye test in the last 12 months, you'll need to book one of those too. But this won't slow the process down; you can do both in the same visit.
Assessment
After your eye test (if needed), you'll have your contact lens assessment. One of our highly trained contact lens specialists will check the health and surface of your eyes. They will then measure them and ask you some questions about your lifestyle, in order to recommend the most suitable ones for you and your vision needs.
We'll take the time to find the perfect contact lenses for you. Once we've fitted you with your first pair, we'll give you some time to get used to them. A lot of our patients like to take this opportunity to go for a walk and experience life with clear vision and no glasses. We'll check that these lenses are comfortable and fit correctly. We'll also assess your vision to ensure you can see clearly in them and if these ones aren't quite right we'll try another pair.
Teach
We'll teach you how to handle and look after your new lenses, so that you can wear them safely and keep your eyes comfortable and healthy. Our friendly and patient staff will show you how to put them in and take them out. We'll let you try as many times as you want, until you're confident doing it on your own and feel you'll be able to repeat this at home.
We can then set you up on our Contact Lenses By Post scheme, where your lenses will be sent direct to your door, and you'll receive unlimited aftercare and lots of other benefits.
