Fundraising Week Success!

Action for Blind People fundraising update
D&A and Boots Optician’s 680 branch network raised £21, 657 during Fundraising Week to bring the fundraising total to £37,257. This will go towards the overall fundraising target of £125,000 that Boots Opticians has pledged to the Actionnaires clubs run by Action for Blind People. The money will enable Action for Blind People to reach out to more blind and partially sighted children and young people across the UK and give them a sporting chance.
Stephen Remington, Chief Executive of Action for Blind People, comments “I would like to say a huge thank you to all Boots Opticians and D&A staff who were involved in the fundraising week. We remain extremely grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment that has been shown in support of Action for Blind People”.
D&A and Boots Opticians branches across the UK took part in Fundraising Week activities and will continue to take donations in branches until December 2009. Everyone can make a real difference to this project by joining in the ongoing fundraising in our local D&A or Boots Opticians branches.
